The reader is introduced to many of the book’s key themes in the first poem, “Route Sketched on a Map, as if Walking.” WebSubsequently, Susan Tichy has explored the relationships between narrative technique and political awareness. She has turned increasingly toward collage and quotation, forms she had used since the 1970s and which became important in her second volume.
