Webb11 aug. 2016 · Slugs can be shot through any choke. Thats why they call them punkin balls. They rattle their way all the way down the barrel and come out at the end. Full chokes are fine. Just think about it this way. If they would "splode" a full choke barrel they would not be in business much longer as the law suits would cover them up. Webb13 juli 2011 · You can shoot rifled slugs through a modified choke, although I wouldn't shoot them through a tighter constriction than that. Shooting slugs through a barrel equipped with choke tubes is, generally, not a good solution. Fixed chokes mo' bettah, but again you can do it. It's just not what I'd do.
